The United Arab Emirates is playing an essential role in evacuating thousands of Afghan nationals and foreign citizens from Afghanistan in the wake of the ongoing crisis in the landlocked country. To facilitate the mammoth task, the UAE coordinated efforts with its international partners and boosted global cooperation and solidarity to ensure the continuous provision of humanitarian and relief assistance to Afghan nationals in need. Relevant UAE authorities including the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (UAE) and Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) are working in cooperation with embassies along with Consular and Customs and Border officers in Afghanistan, to accelerate the travel process for evacuees.
