 The diplomatic ties between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have widened in recent years. The relations between both countries were reclaimed again on 17 August 2020. The scheduled Joint Commission Meeting was held between both countries despite the limitations created by the Covid-19 pandemic.  The bilateral summit was held between India and the UAE to reflect and build on their diplomatic ties. In 2020, India and UAE discussed the strategies to defeat the Covid-19.
