 Major retailer Spinneys said on Wednesday that a ransomware gang may have exposed consumer information that was stolen from its internal system. The owner of the grocery chain said in a statement to the Khaleej Times those hackers were able to obtain customer names, email addresses, and mobile numbers. However, the most recent cybersecurity attack did not expose any personal banking data. Spinneys is aware of unverified emails being received from obscure email addresses claiming that on July 16, 2022, a ransomware gang may have exposed data stolen from our internal server." According to the statement, hackers gained access to an internal server that included client information, including names, email addresses, cellphone numbers, delivery addresses, and information about previous orders.
