Sports as a geopolitical tool is what can prove to be a tiebreaker in the changing dynamics

There are not many things in the world that connect nations from each other or bring out the commonality between two different ethnicities, races, or regions. In the already limited list, sports is something that tops the chart.  Sports have always been extremely special for a particular set of people and there are certain countries that are wholly known as sporting nations.  Be it a country like Australia, which is known to have produced some of the best talents in the world in each sport, or be it China , which is known for domination in strategic sports, they have always found it easier to connect to each other.  But if we dig in a little more, we can analyze how deep history takes us to connect sports to geopolitical relations. No matter the range of fight between two nations, the kind of enthusiasm players or contenders used to bring on the field and then again show great sportsman spirit between them, was exemplary.  No matter where one has come from or where they are going, spo

Japan to boycott Beijing Winter Olympics after US

In the list of countries expressing their discontent for the upcoming Winter Olympics in Beijing, Japan has been added as the new nation to announce a boycott for the event. There were lingering confusions about Japan attending the event or not and on Friday, the nation made it clear.  On December 24, the Japanese government announced that it will not be sending an official delegation to next year's Winter Olympics in Beijing .  This is after the United States had already announced that it will not be sending its officials for the game, which only led to deepening tensions with China.  Along with the United States , it was also expected that other nations who can be counted as its allies will be leaving the event. This was an extremely delicate issue for Japan as not only is it a close partner to the US but it also has strong economic ties with China .  The games are to start in February in 2022, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno clarified during a news briefing that Tokyo

United States Opens Door for More Afghanistan Aid As Humanitarian Disaster Looms

The United States administration on Wednesday announced the decision to allow the flow of more aid to Afghanistan. The decision was taken to prevent the humanitarian and economic catastrophe in the Taliban-led country. The US officially exempted its sanctions that were imposed earlier against the Taliban before they seized control of the government. As part of efforts to ease humanitarian aid flows into Afghanistan, the United States Department of the Treasury issued three general licenses on Wednesday. The licenses would make it easier for non-governmental organizations (NGOs), international aid groups, and the U.S. government to provide relief to the people of Afghanistan. Reportedly, some Republicans said that Joe Biden 's administration risked legitimizing and even funding Taliban leaders. United Nations on the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan On Wednesday, the United Nations (UN) also condemned the situation in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is suffering because of the humanitar

“UAE Is A Great Model For Human and Economic Index”

I want to share something interesting about what I read today. It’s how the UAE has been positioned among the top countries in the Arab world where individuals appreciate high close-to-home and financial opportunities. It’s actually not surprising how the Human Freedom Index 2021 delivered by Fraser Institute positioned the UAE sixth in the Arab World and seventh in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) area, higher than Oman, Morocco, Turkey, Bahrain, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Yemen, and Syria. For me, The Human Freedom Index depends on 82 unmistakable signs of individual and monetary opportunity in law and order, security and well-being, development, religion, affiliation, get together, and common society, articulation, and data, connections, size of government, overall set of laws and property privileges, sound cash, opportunity to exchange globally and guideline. Looking at it, regardless of a drop of two situations to 131th, the UAE's score worked on

The surge of Omicron infection in Europe, officials announce fresh protocols

There has been a sudden rise in the Omicron cases in European countries and due to safety reasons, European authorities have decided to tighten the Covid-19 protocols. Most of the countries that have registered the most cases are Germany, Ireland, and Denmark.  These countries had relaxed their travel restrictions and hence it can be counted in few of the possible reasons why there has been a rising trend in the cases. Another reason is the upcoming holiday season of Christmas and New Year, which is why the authorities have decided to not waste any more time in applying certain restrictions.  France had already announced closing its border earlier this week to most non-resident Brits. Amid all these threats, the deputy prime minister of Ireland Leo Varadkar said that due to the virus situation, the government was left with no option but to close down bars and restaurants on revised timings.  He tweeted about the situation saying, “We’re all feeling anger, frustration, dismay, depressi

“The Noteworthy Advancement of UAE Research Team is Amusing”

I want to share something great about what I read today. It’s how UAE's noteworthy advancement and headway in malignant growth examination and treatment are promising. This is what Sheik Nahyan canister Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Tolerance and Coexistence. While initiating the ninth release of the two-day International Oncology Conference, Sheik Nahyan said: "As a layman, I read reports on the most recent headway in malignant growth treatment that improves the capacity of the human body to battle the assault of cancer cells with extraordinary interest. Looking at it, the minister underscored the significance of standard separating the early determination of disease and the requirement for more particular diagnostics and treatment choices. For me, they adulated the endeavors of the UAE specialists and clinical society in making mindfulness and advancing standard screening among people in general. The Medical calling exhibits the nation's upsides of obligation, informa

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a strong commitment to Indonesia on Monday as he started the Southeast Asia tour. State Department spokesman Ned Price said that in the meeting, Antony Blinken and Joko Widodo discussed the Covid-19 pandemic, human rights, and the clima

Germany to takeover 25,000 Afghans in coming days

After the Taliban occupied Kabul, a huge chunk of the Afghan population decided to flee from the country as they felt that their survival was in danger in the nation. In an attempt to leave the country in a hurry, many even lost their lives and their loved ones.  Many chose to find shelter in neighboring countries but they had no permanent place or safe center to stay. Covid-19 pandemic was another factor that made many of the countries cautious about them.  To give them a safe and secure environment, Germany has stepped up to accept 25,000 Afghan refugees who are in the riskiest situations. The information has been confined by a senior European Union official. The arrangements have to be made regarding this hence it has been decided that 25,000 refugees shifting borders not all the 40,000 present in Kabul.  Germany is one of the European nations that is known to accept a lot of refugees every year. It has hit a record number with the acceptance of refugees as it touched 900,000 in 2

Has Myanmar lost its democratic edge with the imprisonment of Suu Kyi?

The imprisonment of  Aung San Suu Kyi on Tuesday left many experts suspecting the democratic future of the nation. As Myanmar is already grappled with the military takeover, it is difficult to predict what the future holds for them, especially the kind of governance it will be witnessing in the coming months.  But a set of experts believe that it is not possible for the country to go entirely back on track when it comes to democracy as the civilians are already accustomed to what value a democratic nation carries. The South Asian nation had to struggle a lot to reach where it has so it will not be easy to take it back to square one.  The younger generation is the more adamant one. They will bring the revolt in order which was disrupted due to the military coup and bring the much-needed direction to the nation. There is a lot that needs to be done with regards to the economy and the administrative structure of the country and that is what the younger generation promises. It is need

It’s how without much of a stretch be known as a proactive move, the UAE has set the plan for balance between fun and serious activities. It has presented a four-and-half week's worth of work, starting Monday, with Friday as a half-day and Saturday/Sunday as the end of the week.  Generally, the end of the week starts mid-Friday. While this changeover applies to the central government, it is probably going to accept different pieces of the economy too. All administration workplaces will currently begin the New Year with another end of the week. In numerous ways, the progress to a Saturday-Sunday weekend gets the UAE synchronized with the functions of worldwide business sectors, organizations, and workplaces. #UAE announces today that it will transition to a four and a half day working week, with Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday forming the new weekend. All Federal government departments will move to the new weeke

Karl Nehammer becomes the third chancellor in Austria, Europe. He is the third person in two months to take up the position after a corruption scandal thrust Austria’s politics. Nehammer was sworn in by President Alexander Van der Bellen in a ceremony at the Hofburg palace in Vienna after he assumed the leadership of the governing Austrian People’s Party. Subsequently, Nehammer said that he will approach his office as chancellor with great seriousness and respect.  According to Reuters, after the ceremony, Nehammer said in a statement to reporters that the crowd of people who opposed coronavirus restrictions blew whistles and mocked him. Reportedly, more than 40,000 people protested in Vienna on Saturday against the current lockdown plan imposed by the government. As per the report, the government was planning to make vaccinations compulsory from February. Details of the plan are yet to be announced by the government. On this, Nehammer said that his focus would now be on a meeting on

Abortion rights in America

The US (United States) Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case of Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Depending on the outcome of this case, the Supreme Court can ultimately overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v Wade ruling. During the 1973 Roe v Wade ruling, the court said states could not ban abortions before fetal viability, the point at which the fetus can survive outside the womb. That was around 28 weeks at that time and now it is around 23 weeks because of improvements in medical technology. The case from almost five decades ago protects the right to abortion. The case also established a framework to govern abortion regulation based on the trimesters of pregnancy.  However,  On Wednesday, the US Supreme Court’s conservative majority appeared prepared to uphold a Mississippi law that would allow states to ban nearly all abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. There are currently six conservatives and three liberal justices on the court. One of those conservatives, Chi

WHO warns the Asia-Pacific region because of the Omicron variant. The new variant of Covid-19 is spreading globally. WHO designated the new covid variant B.1.1.529, named Omicron, a variant of concern. The number of people testing positive by the Omicron covid variant has increased significantly in South African countries. The new Omicron variant is much deadlier and is also spreading faster than the other variants. “A New Response of UAE to Foster the Relationship With Iran”

I want to share something great about what I read today. It’s how  UAE would in a little while send a task to Iran as a part of tries to additionally foster connects with Tehran which is really surprising. Along with this, UAE will not keep Lebanese from taking off to the country in an essential segment among Beirut and Gulf Arab states which was obviously expressed to see improvement with the two nations.  Looking at it, Abu Dhabi would continue with supportive assistance to Lebanon and didn't require Lebanese inhabitants to encounter more due to the consistent political and money related crisis in the country. In my point of view, France will sign significant agreements when President Emmanuel Macron visits Dubai on December. This is a stunning relationship and various game plans will be settled upon. After the president's visit the relationship will be more broad in different locales.
