Germany to takeover 25,000 Afghans in coming days

 After the Taliban occupied Kabul, a huge chunk of the Afghan population decided to flee from the country as they felt that their survival was in danger in the nation. In an attempt to leave the country in a hurry, many even lost their lives and their loved ones. 

Many chose to find shelter in neighboring countries but they had no permanent place or safe center to stay. Covid-19 pandemic was another factor that made many of the countries cautious about them. 

To give them a safe and secure environment, Germany has stepped up to accept 25,000 Afghan refugees who are in the riskiest situations. The information has been confined by a senior European Union official. The arrangements have to be made regarding this hence it has been decided that 25,000 refugees shifting borders not all the 40,000 present in Kabul. 

Germany is one of the European nations that is known to accept a lot of refugees every year. It has hit a record number with the acceptance of refugees as it touched 900,000 in 2015. These refugees mainly come from the Arab nations especially Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

On Thursday, the EU Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson said that they cannot delay the process as many are waiting to be treated with proper living conditions. “Vulnerable people and refugees at risk are awaiting their departure to start a new life in safety and dignity,” she said.

Apart from Germany, other European countries are also looking to help Afghan refugees, The Netherlands is another such nation to open its gates for3,100 Afghans who are in the riskiest situations. France and Spain will also be taking 2,500 people.

Israel issues latest forced evacuation order in areas in Khan Younis

  The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, has issued the latest forced evacuation order for civilians living in nine areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Adraee said that the army was expanding its operation and “intensifying sudden and concentrated firepower”. The spokesperson called on residents to evacuate westward. UAE initiates extensive CAR T-cell treatment in the region
