The three nations showed solidarity in combating the drug crisis in the neighboring countries while standing together to call out the Taliban for its negligence to the United Nations resolutions. They stressed that the Taliban must pay attention and respect to the results of the UN resolutions on Afghanistan and the central role of the U.N. in the country.

The statement also noted that there has been a rise in illicit trafficking in opiates and methamphetamine from Afghanistan and beyond, which is a serious threat to regional security and also in a way promotes terrorism in the region as the money collected is used to fund the terrorist organizations.
