7.28 million more tourists visited the emirate last year, up 32%. During the first five months of 2022, 6.17 million foreign overnight visitors were recorded.

Following Covid-19, Dubai's tourism and travel industries have strongly recovered thanks to the pandemic's successful containment. Additionally, Dubai attracted the most FDI into the tourism industry in 2021, bringing Dh6.4 billion in foreign capital to 30 projects and generating 5,545 employment.

The Bounce study examined the TikTok views that 140 various cities had got. With 8.6 billion views on TikTok, Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, came in at number 22.

New York City, came in second, with 59.5 billion views on TikTok. With 36.8 billion views on TikTok, London rose to third place, surpassing Istanbul. One of the world's most recognizable cities, the United Kingdom's capital has an almost infinite list of must-see tourist attractions.

More than 75 million hotel stays were booked over the last year, up 42% from 2020, and the occupancy rate of hotels reached 67 percent, the highest level ever recorded in the world's most popular tourist locations.

In the UAE, there were 1,144 hotel establishments in 2021 compared to 1,020, a 5 percent growth. In the UAE, there are now 194,000 hotel rooms, an 8 percent rise over the same time period.

In order to aid in the creation of this statistics system, the UAE and the UN World Tourism Organization have also inked a partnership and coordination agreement. By monitoring the economic indicators of the tourism sector and its impact on the national economy and labor market, the TSA will also help the nation's tourism statistics system become more effective.
