Golden Residency in UAE granted to 50 categories of specialisations

 More than 50 categories of specializations were granted golden residency in the United Arab Emirates for a period of ten years, under specific terms and conditions, in the annex to the regulations governing golden residency permits attached to Cabinet Resolution No. 65 of 2022 issuing the executive regulations for Federal Decree-Law No. 29 of 2021 regarding the entry and residence of foreigners. This resolution took effect on October 3.

The annex stipulates that the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs, and Ports Security shall grant a golden residence permit to scholars and specialized professionals in the event that the conditions and controls specified in this decision are met, and falls within this category:

Those scientists and researchers from the Emirates Scholars Council recommend having a strong record of accomplishment and influence in their profession.

Senior academics and religious leaders with significant influence who are recommended by the Ministry of Culture and Youth or the appropriate municipal authorities.

On the advice of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology or the relevant municipal authorities, elite experts in the domains of business and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

on the advice of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection or the appropriate municipal authorities, elite medical specialists.

Elite specialists in educational fields based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Education or the competent local authorities.

Skilled labor of specialists at higher professional levels according to the professional classification approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and includes the following categories:

Chiefs and CEOs at the first professional level.

Specialists at the second professional level, with more than 50 specializations are:

Specialists in the sciences (physicists, astronomers, climatologists, specialists in mathematics, actuarial sciences and statisticians, specialists in life sciences, environment, epidemiology, agricultural sciences, etc.).

Specialists in engineering, including (vital disciplines such as electrical engineering, computer, and communications engineering, industrial engineering, production, mining, environment, robotics engineering, biotechnology, architects, city planners, and others).

Health professionals (doctors, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, audiologists, speech and vision therapists, physiotherapists, nutritionists, and other vital health specialties).

Specialists in higher, general, and vocational education, developers of educational curricula, advanced teaching and assessment methods, gifted and special needs education, and others.

Business and management professionals (financial and investment advisors, financial analysts, e-commerce, digital marketing, etc.).

IT professionals (software and application analysts and developers, and specialists in data science, artificial intelligence, and information security).

Professionals in law, sociology, and culture (lawyers, judges, economists, specialists in sociologists, philosophy, politics, history, authors, journalists, linguists, plastic arts (galleries, museums, sculptors), musicians, singers, directors, actors, and broadcasters).
