UAE offers to invest in India's Uttar Pradesh

 According to a press release, Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, is known for his style of governance, and teams traveling abroad to represent the UP government at roadshows are bringing back valuable investment suggestions for the state.

Up to 25 investment offers totaling 20,000 crores had been made in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and DP World had indicated a desire to form a joint venture in the logistics and cargo industries. Ikea, a Swedish firm that makes furniture, home furnishings, and appliances, will also need to invest 4,000 crores in Uttar Pradesh in order to build retail stores and luxury malls.

The Gemini Corporation of Belgium had previously indicated an interest in constructing a 200-crore plastic recycling facility in Varanasi. A Canadian company named JMQ Global expressed interest in making a purchase in the UP health technology market.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath dispatched teams from the state administration to perform roadshows abroad in order to invite foreign corporations to the Global Investors Summit-2023, which is slated to take place in Lucknow from February 10 to 12. In an endeavor to draw in investments of Rs. 10 lakh crore, this was done.

Four teams held roadshows on Wednesday in the cities of Buenos Aires, Vancouver, Stockholm, and Tokyo (Argentina). The deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and the information technology minister Yogendra Upadhyay will travel on Friday.

In the meanwhile, Sanjay Govil, the CEO of Infinite Computer Solutions, was met in New York by a delegation from the government of Uttar Pradesh led by the minister of finance. The corporation proposed to sign an MoU and commit more than 500 crores towards the development of IT campuses in Noida and Lucknow. According to a post on social media made by the chief minister's advisor Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Ajay Srivastava, co-founder and MD of e-Kuber Ventures, discussed future data centers in Uttar Pradesh.

In another tweet from the UP Investors Summit account, the state government declared: "Hon'ble Finance Minister Shri @SureshKKhanna visited Mr. Avi Basu, creator and CEO Wingsure in New York." Discussions took place about how farmers could benefit from technology in agriculture. 

Other social media posts showed that Satish Mahana, speaker of the state legislative assembly, and Dharam Pal, minister of animal husbandry, are leading a state delegation to Canada. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Invest UP and the Canada India Global Forum was signed to advance the 2023 Global Investors Summit.

The CIGF will send out a significant delegation of Canadian investors to participate in the GIS. An agreement for a Rs. 2,500 crore textile machinery facility.
