UAE’s achievements on various fronts


The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of the best countries in the world. The excellent leadership of the UAE has helped the country in many ways. The UAE has been making significant achievements on many fronts, including human rights.

Last month, a high-level panel discussion on Human Rights in the UAE was held in Geneva in Switzerland. Thirteen international human rights groups launched the Shadow Report for the UAE to discuss the country's human rights situation. They submitted the report at the 43rd Session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the United Nations Human Rights Council. 

Experts talked about the achievements of the UAE in various fields. The experts came from prestigious international organizations with consultative status at the United Nations (UN). 

Dr. Manel Msalmi from the European Association for The Defense of Minorities lauded the efforts of the UAE in various fields. Mahmoud Bassiouni, a Member of the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights, lauded the human rights achievement of the UAE. 

It is important to note that the UAE made significant achievements in recent years. The UAE adopted various measures to raise awareness about violence against women and children. Last year, the UAE was named one of the top countries in the world for gender equality, according to the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap report. The UAE also pledged to protect the rights of migrant workers, protect the rights of persons with disabilities, and establish a national human rights institution to fight against all forms of discrimination.

The UAE also pledged to fight against terrorism, extremism, violence, hatred, and discrimination.

The UAE also launched various measures in the field of environmental sustainability. The UAE has also pledged to reduce methane emissions by 30 percent by 2030.

The UAE has always adopted measures to mitigate the impact of climate change. The UAE also launched the “Emirates Food Security Council” to lead the National Food Security Strategy implementation and achieve food security. The UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative has also been liked by various international communities. The country has invested billions of dollars in clean energy in order to achieve climate neutrality. 

The UAE also aims to eliminate plastic pollution in the coming years. The UAE is set to impose a ban on the use of plastic bags effective in 2024. It seems like nothing is impossible for the United Arab Emirates.

Israel issues latest forced evacuation order in areas in Khan Younis

  The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, has issued the latest forced evacuation order for civilians living in nine areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Adraee said that the army was expanding its operation and “intensifying sudden and concentrated firepower”. The spokesperson called on residents to evacuate westward. So-called Israeli safe zones, including Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis, are routinely attacked despite the army forcing Palestinians to move to those areas.
