Saudi leader congratulates new UAE Vice President and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince

 Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), has sent a cable of congratulations to the new Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the newly-appointed Crown Prince and Deputy Rulers of Abu Dhabi.

The Saudi Crown Prince called Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Vice President of the UAE, to congratulate him. The Saudi Prince gave his best wishes to Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, as well as Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed and Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, Deputy Rulers of Abu Dhabi.

According to the state news agency Wam, the Saudi Crown Prince wished them success in their leadership roles. The UAE leaders thanked Prince Mohammed. They lauded the fraternal ties between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the King of Saudi Arabia, also congratulated newly-appointed UAE leaders. He expressed hope for further progress and prosperity in the UAE. 

Bahrain's King Hamad also congratulated the UAE leaders. He hoped for prosperity in the UAE. Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, also sent a cable of congratulations to the UAE leaders.

Sultan Haitham of Oman congratulated the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, also called the UAE leader to congratulate him on the new appointments. Egyptian President Abdul Fattah El Sisi and Mauritania's President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani also called the UAE President. 

Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, sent heartfelt felicitations to the UAE leaders. Pakistani politician wrote on Twitter, “Heartfelt felicitations from the people and the government of Pakistan on the appointment of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan as the Vice President of the UAE. Congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his appointment as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.”

Israel issues latest forced evacuation order in areas in Khan Younis

  The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, has issued the latest forced evacuation order for civilians living in nine areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Adraee said that the army was expanding its operation and “intensifying sudden and concentrated firepower”. The spokesperson called on residents to evacuate westward. So-called Israeli safe zones, including Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis, are routinely attacked despite the army forcing Palestinians to move to those areas.
