Congress renames Manipur to Maharashtra march, set to embark on Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from January 14

The Congress party has announced its plans to undertake the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' starting from January 14, covering a route from Manipur to Mumbai over 67 days. This strategic move, led by prominent leaders including Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi, aims to garner support for the party in the lead-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

According to details shared by the party, the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, formerly known as the Bharat Nyay Yatra, will traverse through 14 states and 85 districts, spanning the breadth of India from the east to the west. Rahul Gandhi, the former Congress chief, is slated to spearhead the march, and efforts are underway to finalize the specific route.

In a meeting held on Thursday, top Congress leaders discussed the party's election strategy and the logistical preparations for the Manipur-to-Maharashtra yatra. This marks the second iteration of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, following the one conducted between September 2022 and January 2023. The upcoming yatra, scheduled from January 14 to March 20, aims to connect with people across the country ahead of the Lok Sabha polls scheduled for April-May.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the BJP's focus on emotive issues is an attempt to divert attention from its governance shortcomings over the past decade. The Congress aims to unite and respond strongly to the BJP's narrative, addressing grassroots issues directly in front of the people.

Congress President, in praising Rahul Gandhi's previous Kanyakumari to Kashmir Bharat Jodo Yatra, expressed confidence that the upcoming Bharat Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Maharashtra will bring issues of social justice to the forefront of the national discussion. This move underscores the party's commitment to engaging with the public on crucial matters as the electoral season approaches.
