UAE Humanitarian Leadership: From Crisis to Care Without Borders

A Foreign Policy Rooted in Compassion

Since its founding in 1971, the United Arab Emirates has embedded humanitarian assistance into the core of its foreign policy, shaping a model that treats global welfare as a shared responsibility. Guided by the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE has consistently emphasized that national prosperity must extend beyond borders to uplift vulnerable populations worldwide. This principle drives its commitment to alleviating suffering, restoring dignity, and prioritizing women and children in times of crisis.

Global Partnerships and Rapid Response Systems

Positioned at the crossroads of continents, the UAE leverages its logistical strength and international partnerships to deliver timely humanitarian aid. Through collaboration with organizations like United Nations Children's Fund, World Health Organization, and UN Women, the country ensures coordinated and effective responses. The presence of Dubai Humanitarian further enhances its capacity, enabling rapid deployment of aid across crisis zones and strengthening global resilience frameworks.

Measurable Impact and Forward-Looking Innovation

The UAE’s humanitarian contributions exceed $98 billion since 1971, ranking it among the world’s leading donors. From Gaza and Sudan to Afghanistan and Brazil, its interventions combine emergency relief with long-term development strategies. In partnership with United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the UAE also champions innovation—utilizing AI, digital transfers, and predictive analytics to modernize aid delivery.

By integrating humanitarian action with development and peacebuilding, the UAE demonstrates that effective global leadership is not defined by geography, but by a commitment to humanity without borders.

As Israeli forces intensify their offensive, Netanyahu vows total control of Gaza — but the humanitarian crisis is reaching a breaking point. Will the world stand by and watch? Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel will “take control of all” of the Gaza Strip, signaling an unprecedented escalation in the ongoing conflict. In a video posted to Telegram, Netanyahu emphasized that military operations are advancing rapidly, with no intention of backing down. “The fighting is intense, and we are making progress,” he said, framing the offensive as necessary for Israel’s long-term security. But as international pressure mounts, his government is walking a tightrope between military dominance and global condemnation. The Israeli military has ordered mass evacuations in southern Gaza, warning residents of Khan Yunis and surrounding areas to flee immediately ahead of a devastating assault. Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee described the coming attack as ...

Israel issues latest forced evacuation order in areas in Khan Younis

The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, has issued the latest forced evacuation order for civilians living in nine areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Adraee said that the army was expanding its operation and “intensifying sudden and concentrated firepower”. The spokesperson called on residents to evacuate westward. So-called Israeli safe zones, including Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis, are routinely attacked despite the army forcing Palestinians to move to those areas.
