UAE president calls Pakistan's PM, offer condolences

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan made a phone call to Pakistani Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif and offered condolences and sympathy to the victims of floods and torrential rains witnessed in several Pakistani provinces.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also wished a speedy recovery for the injured and quick return of the displaced to their areas, praying to Allah Almighty to protect Pakistan.

During the conversation, He emphasised the UAE's solidarity with the government and people of Pakistan in facing the repercussions of these climatic conditions and its keenness to provide all possible forms of support to it.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered urgent relief aid to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which is witnessing torrential rains and floods causing deaths, injuries and displacements.

He also ordered the provision of all humanitarian relief services to the displaced to enhance their ability to overcome the challenges they are facing.

In turn, the Pakistan PM extended thanks to the UAE President for the urgent relief and humanitarian assistance that His Highness ordered provide to his country to address the floods and torrential rains witnessed in some regions, noting the UAE's supportive stances for Pakistan in all circumstances and times.

Israel issues latest forced evacuation order in areas in Khan Younis

Adraee said that the army was expanding its operation and “intensifying sudden and concentrated firepower”. The spokesperson called on residents to evacuate westward. So-called Israeli safe zones, including Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis, are routinely attacked despite the army forcing Palestinians to move to those areas.
