India and the UAE announce that IIT will come Abu Dhabi

 The Indian Institute of Technology, one of India's most esteemed institutes, will shortly be based in Abu Dhabi (IIT).

IIT Delhi stated that a new curriculum would be released in 2023.

The perspective abroad campuses' needs will be taken into account when developing the new curriculum. In addition to the UAE, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tanzania, and Malaysia are all planned as locations for IIT's offshore campuses.

IIT, a government-funded engineering school in Delhi, is managed by the Indian Ministry of Education.

IIT is regarded as one of the greatest training, research, and scientific institutions in the nation, and it is now ranked number 54 globally in engineering and technology courses, as shown by the QS World University Rankings for 2021.

"The Lok Sabha, the lower House of the Indian Parliament, was told of the visit of a high-level team from the Indian institute to Abu Dhabi and intensive discussions with ADEK officials and other players in the project, according to Subhas Sarkar, the Minister of State for Education.

There are 23 additional institutes running in India, including IIT Delhi. Applications are accepted for programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.

The UAE branch will be the first IIT campus to be established overseas.
