UAE-based Indian driver wins Dh15 million in the Emirates Draw

The EASY6 Grand Prize of Emirates Draw was won by an Indian driver in the UAE for Dh15 million.

Ajay Ogula, 31, has been employed at a jewellery store since he moved from his village in southern India to the UAE. He felt responsible for providing for his family, which includes an aging mother and two younger siblings who live in a run-down, leased home.

"You keep wasting money here and there, so why not utilize it instead on a chance like this," my supervisor asked in response when I mentioned reading about someone winning a big sum with Emirates Draw, according to Ogula.

Ogula downloaded the Emirates Draw mobile app on the recommendation of his work and bought two tickets for his initial participation in Emirates Draw EASY6.

I was out with my friend when I got the email of congratulations. I initially assumed that the winning amount would be less, but as I read, the zeros kept stacking up, and when I discovered the total, I nearly passed out.

Ogula initially intends to bring his family to Dubai, after which he intends to construct a home for them in their village and establish a construction business to enable him to become financially independent.

The managing partner of Emirates Draw, Mohammad Behroozian Alawadhi, said: "Congratulations to our Grand Prize winner, Ajay Ogula, on his outstanding victory. Emirates Draw's mission has always been to improve people's lives, and this will always be at the core of all we do. It is not just about numbers and winners.

"Our entire team is thrilled for Ajay Ogula, and we are convinced that this victory will significantly improve both his life and the lives of everyone around him," he continued. Through our weekly rewards and our Coral Reef Restoration Program, which was created in keeping with the UAE government's objective of sustainability, we will continue to fulfill our mission of giving back to the community.

In the meantime, Paula Leech, a 50-year-old British woman, took up Dh77,777 in the most recent Emirates Draw MEGA7 raffle draw. The mother-of-three has worked in human resources for almost 14 years and is based in the UAE. She declared, "This victory will serve as my retirement fund."

A single individual or group of persons who match all seven numbers from the right might win the Dh160 million Grand Prize of the Emirates Draw MEGA7.

The festival of Diwali, often referred to as the "Festival of Lights," is celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor across India.
