How the Emirati rescue team help Turkey

The search and rescue teams of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) helped Turkey after the destructive earthquake wreaked havoc in the country. 

The Emirati rescue team helped the Turkish authorities in rescuing people. The Emirati team rescued 10 people and recovered 26 bodies from Turkey. The team rescued a Syrian family of four from the rubble in Turkey. They found many people alive from under collapsed buildings in Turkey. The UAE sent a rescue team, comprising 92 rescuers, to Kahramanmaras to carry out search and rescue operations. 

The team found earthquake survivors in Kahramanmaras. After fourteen consecutive days of work, they left Turkey. Recently, the Turkish Emergency and Disaster Organisation announced the end of search and rescue operations in the country.

The Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence of the UAE launched Operation Gallant Knight/2 to help earthquake survivors in Turkey and Syria. The UAE sent aid to affected areas in Turkey and Syria for 11 days in order to help earthquake victims. 

The UAE sent 2,535 tonnes of relief products to Syria and 840 tonnes of aid to Turkey. Around 118 flights carrying 3,375 tonnes of food, medical supplies, and shelter tents were sent to these two countries as part of the operation.

Recently, the UAE's second field hospital was set up in Turkey. As many as 50-bed hospitals were opened at Gaziantep Airport to help earthquake survivors. The UAE also launched an air bridge to transport relief aid to Turkey.

The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, pledged to offer help to Turkey and Syria after the powerful earthquake hit the region. 

The Emirati rescue team, comprising 42 rescuers, was also sent to Syria to evacuate people. They continued to dig through the rubble to find survivors.

Israel issues latest forced evacuation order in areas in Khan Younis

  The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, has issued the latest forced evacuation order for civilians living in nine areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Adraee said that the army was expanding its operation and “intensifying sudden and concentrated firepower”. The spokesperson called on residents to evacuate westward. So-called Israeli safe zones, including Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis, are routinely attacked despite the army forcing Palestinians to move to those areas.

UAE initiates extensive CAR T-cell treatment in the region

The United Arab Emirates has transformed the medical structure of the region as it slowly moves towards attaining leadership in medical treatments and complex procedures. It has stepped up on the list with a pioneering treatment led by Abu Dhabi. The capital has witnessed a revolutionary process that focuses on the safety and efficacy of using the CAR T-Cell treatment module especially for hematologic or blood cancers such as lymphoma, myeloma, and certain types of leukemia. This is an exemplary step in the context of the region as it is the first of its kind treatment here.  On Saturday, the Emirati nation began its experiment to locally manufacture CAR T-Cell treatment at Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Center.
