IDEX event at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center

 The IDEX event is being held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), from February 20 to February 24. The participation of the Cyber Security Council (CSC) in IDEX is the highlight of the event.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan, the Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security, the Minister of Advanced Technology in Armenia, and a delegation from the United Nations, a delegation from the International Telecommunication Union, and a number of delegations of defense ministers attended the IDEX. 2023. 

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, the activities of the International Defense Exhibition “IDEX 2023” and the Maritime Defense Exhibition “NAVDEX 2023” were launched on Monday.

The activities of the Cyber Security Council started on Monday at the IDEX exhibition at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC). It has been organized by ADNEC in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the UAE.

Dr Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, the Head of the Cyber Security Council of the UAE’s government, participated in the inaugural of the IDEX talks. He also participated in the first round of NAVDEX talks. The Cyber Security Council organized Cyber Drills exercises for beginners and professionals. 

Around 1,350 companies from different countries of the world are participating in this year’s IDEX event. Many countries are also participating in the current session of the NAVDEX exhibition. 

Earlier, UAE’s defense conglomerate EDGE Group said that they would exhibit 100 different technologies at the event. Earlier, the Cybersecurity Council, in collaboration with its strategic partners, launched the Cyber Pulse initiative to encourage people to participate in cybersecurity efforts and improve their digital awareness. The main aim of the initiative was to highlight the importance of countering various types of phishing attacks and raise awareness about digital activities.

Israel issues latest forced evacuation order in areas in Khan Younis

  The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, has issued the latest forced evacuation order for civilians living in nine areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Adraee said that the army was expanding its operation and “intensifying sudden and concentrated firepower”. The spokesperson called on residents to evacuate westward. So-called Israeli safe zones, including Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis, are routinely attacked despite the army forcing Palestinians to move to those areas.
