On Thursday, it was revealed that higher education institutions in the UAE are no longer required to use the Emirates Standardized Tests (EmSAT) for university admissions.
The country's universities may employ the EmSAT or other exams for admission, according to the Ministry of Education. They are free to choose the required minimum scores.
Admissions for 2023–24 will be affected by the ruling. Universities and other higher education institutions are expected to maintain the standard of instruction.
The choice is intended to improve students' capacity to select a university major in accordance with their interests, aptitudes, and talents.
A national system of computer-based exams called EmSAT is used to evaluate graduates from both domestic and international private and public schools. For admission to UAE universities, the exam results have to be submitted prior to this release.
