UAE: An increase in tuition fees of up to 3.94% has been allowed for Abu Dhabi schools

The Educational Cost Index (ECI) results have been made public by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), along with the framework for the academic year 2023–2024's optional tuition price hike that has been approved. The declaration comes after a three-year suspension of tuition costs to aid parents in the pandemic and post-pandemic period of recovery.

Together with the Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (SCAD), the rise is computed using the emirate's Educational Cost Index (ECI) and the results of each school's Irtiqaa inspection.

Schools that received an "Outstanding" grade for the academic year 2021–2022 are eligible for a 3.94% fee increase, while schools that received a "Very Good" rating are only eligible for a 3.38% increase.

Schools with an ECI score of "Good" may implement a tuition price increase of up to 2.81 percent, whereas schools with an ECI score of "Acceptable," "Weak," or "Very Weak" may only implement a tuition fee increase of up to 2.25 percent.

The school must follow the authorized updated fees structure and have been in operation for at least three years to qualify for a normal tuition fee increase.

Irtiqaa's most recent inspection results show that 11 schools received the "Outstanding" rating, followed by 37 "Very Good," 85 "Good," 63 "Acceptable," and 1 "Weak."

The ministry held Israeli authorities fully responsible for the aggression and its consequences. Syria called on the UN Security Council, the United Nations, and the Arab League to take urgent action to halt repeated violations. It reaffirmed its commitment to defending its sovereignty and people through all means permitted under international law.

Netanyahu’s Shocking Gaza Plan: ‘We Will Take Control of ALL of Gaza’ — But At What Cost?

As Israeli forces intensify their offensive, Netanyahu vows total control of Gaza — but the humanitarian crisis is reaching a breaking point. Will the world stand by and watch? Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel will “take control of all” of the Gaza Strip, signaling an unprecedented escalation in the ongoing conflict. In a video posted to Telegram, Netanyahu emphasized that military operations are advancing rapidly, with no intention of backing down. “The fighting is intense, and we are making progress,” he said, framing the offensive as necessary for Israel’s long-term security. But as international pressure mounts, his government is walking a tightrope between military dominance and global condemnation. The Israeli military has ordered mass evacuations in southern Gaza, warning residents of Khan Yunis and surrounding areas to flee immediately ahead of a devastating assault. Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee described the coming attack as ...

Israel issues latest forced evacuation order in areas in Khan Younis

The Israeli army’s Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, has issued the latest forced evacuation order for civilians living in nine areas in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Adraee said that the army was expanding its operation and “intensifying sudden and concentrated firepower”. The spokesperson called on residents to evacuate westward. So-called Israeli safe zones, including Al-Mawasi in Khan Younis, are routinely attacked despite the army forcing Palestinians to move to those areas.
