According to Passport Index, the UAE passport allows its holder entry into 177 nations around the world, including 120 nations that do not require a visa and 57 that do. However, 21 nations require a prior visa.

Out of a total of 198 countries worldwide, he noted that UAE passport holders can currently travel to 89.4% of those nations without a prior visa. 

The passports of 11 countries, including Germany, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, and South Korea, were ranked second after the UAE passport in the most recent ranking of the world's most powerful passports, allowing their holders entry to 173 countries visa-free. The passports of 8 other countries, which permit entry to 172 countries, were ranked third.

The Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Australia are among the nations it ranks fourth in the list of six passports that its holder can access without a visa, and Singapore, Malta, Lithuania, Slovakia, and Canada rank fifth with visa-free travel to 170 countries. 

The UAE places granting citizens freedom of movement at the top of its list of priorities. The benefits of this freedom extend beyond allowing UAE citizens to travel freely; they also include economic, humanitarian, and even developmental benefits by facilitating trade and financial investment for both individuals and institutions.

The passport granted entry to 178 nations, including 118 without a prior visa and 60 with an electronic visa or a visa obtained at the airport.
